Resonance
The body hears before it understands.
Crystal singing bowls, played close enough that you feel them in your sternum. Sound reaches the nervous system without asking permission from the thinking mind — which is why an hour of it can undo a month of holding on.
You lie down. You are covered, supported, and asked to do nothing at all. The bowls begin low and stay there for a long time before anything changes. Somewhere in the first fifteen minutes most people stop tracking the sound and start drifting — that drift is the point.
Physiologically, sustained tone slows the breath and moves you out of sympathetic arousal. Experientially, it feels like being set down. People often report the sensation of colour, or of memory arriving unbidden. Some fall asleep. Nothing is wasted either way.
Sound is offered privately and weekly as a community bath — the least expensive and easiest door into the practice.
