The Practice

The Afterglow began where most of these practices begin — with needing them first.

I found this work from the receiving end. Not as a career plan, and not because I was drawn to anything mystical — because I was in a period where my nervous system had stopped believing that rest was available, and someone put me on a table and played a bowl next to my head.

What surprised me was how ordinary it was. Nobody asked me to believe anything. I lay there for an hour and left in a state I hadn't been able to reach on my own for a long time. I went back. Then I started studying.

I became a Certified Sound Healing Practitioner to create that same kind of spaciousness for others. Alongside sound, I offer dream interpretation as a careful, collaborative way to notice the images, emotions, and patterns already asking for attention.

A lot of this practice is held with people in recovery, because that's the community I came through and those are the rooms that taught me how to sit with someone. That work continues, and everyone else is welcome in it. Nobody has to qualify to lie down.

The afterglow is the part you take with you. Not the session — the hours after, where everything runs a half-step slower.

How This Is Held

Four things you can count on

01

Nothing here is medicine

This practice does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical or psychological care, and it will never be presented to you as though it does. If you're managing something, stay in the care of the people licensed to help. This sits alongside that.

02

The room is unhurried on purpose

No upsell at the end of a session. No package pushed while you're still coming back into your body. You'll be given the time you paid for and nothing will be sold to you inside it.

03

You are not required to believe anything

Skeptics are welcome and get the same hour. If it turns out that the mechanism is attention and rest rather than energy, the hour still did what you came for.

04

Cost should not be the barrier

Spots at every community sound bath are held at reduced or no cost, and sliding scale is available for anyone in early recovery. You don't need to explain your situation or document anything.

Start wherever feels easiest.

For most people that's the weekly community sound bath — forty dollars, no experience needed, nothing asked of you.
